It's seriously been forever since I posted a new cutenews. Well, actually it's been exactly a month since my last post. I guess I've just been so busy with my senior year of high school and everything that I've just disregarded my cutenews but at least I continued with my updates. As a lot of you might have noticed my website was down this past week and it's obviously back. I made a bunch of stuff while it was down and you should go check it all out. So you may be wondering what's been going on in mi vida since my last post and I'm going to tell you. August 20th was the first day of my senior year of high school and my "last first day of high school," if that even makes sense. This semester I'm taking French I, Marine Science Honors, Advanced Placement American Government & Economics, and Pre-calculus and I must say that I'm loving pretty much all my classes because it's been quite easy especially compared to my junior year when I was taking loads of Advanced Placement classes and other difficult academics. I guess it's just easier since I don't have all my AP's in one semester and instead I have one this semester and another next semester. In case you're curious I'll be taking English IV Honors, French II, AP European History, and Newspaper next semester. I started my college applications and I'm going to apply to the University of Florida, Florida State University, University of Miami, University of Central Florida, and a few other state universities. UF is definitely my first-choice and I hope I'll get in. I got a huge packet of papers with an application from Princeton and I thought about applying since I have a chance of getting in because my SAT scores were in the average of the scores of people that got in there but I don't think I will because it's too far from where my family lives and there's no way I would be able to survive all the way in New Jersey by myself. Plus, if I apply I'll have to suffer through three SAT subject tests and get two teacher recommendations and trust me I'm too lazy to go and do that. Who knows maybe I'll change my mind and go through all that trouble just for Princeton and NYU; another school I would love to go to. Anyway, enough about school and colleges I hope everyone loves the new things I put up.
I definitely have Olympic Fever The Olympics have been so captivating and I've watched at least 30 minutes of it everyday. I must admit that I can thank Michael Phelps for this because he was the reason I started tuning into the Olympics. I watched everyone of his races and he was just so amazing. He makes me want to start swimming and try to get into the Olympics. I'm so happy that he was able to reach his goal of eight gold medals and represent the United States the way he did. He's seriously an inspiration for me. He's not the only inspiration of course; Dara Torres is another person that was amazing at the Olympics. I wish everyone else at the Olympics the best of luck and I hope they do great! Go Team USA! Today was suppose to be the first day of my senior year but school was canceled today and tomorrow due to the fact that a Tropical Storm is headed towards Florida so instead I've made a few new things on the site and yes some of it is related to Michael Phelps. If you haven't realized he's become a new mini obsession for me. You can expect to see more Michael Phelps and other Olympics related things appearing on the website; at least for a little while.
I just found out the Twilight's release date is being moved up since Harry Potter has been moved to next summer! OME! I can't wait to see that movie and I'm glad that they moved up the release date. So the new release date of Twilight the movie is November 21st 2008. I thought I would share that with everyone since I know that I'm not the only Twilight fan looking forward to the movie. Anyway, I have to start my senior year on Monday and it's kind of bittersweet seeing it's school but it's also my last year to experience all that is high school. I was suppose to read Pride & Prejudice and Catch-22 this summer for an English class but I found out that I won't have the class till next semester so I don't think I'll be finishing Catch-22 for awhile. I added more icons and graphics today, some of the icons contain Breaking Dawn spoilers so if you haven't read the novel and don't want to know any info. about it beware of the icons.
I got back from Colombia on Friday night but I haven't gotten on the computer till now since I've been so busy and I was sick the other day. The day after I got back I went to the bookstore of course to buy Breaking Dawn and I finished it last night. I would've finished it early if I wasn't sick. I must say that Eclipse is still my favorite in the series. Breaking Dawn in my opinion was actually pretty good even though Eclipse has cemented it's place as my favorite in the series. I probably won't be able to update over the next few days since I still have to finish Catch 22 before school starts on Monday and I still have to do a journal on Pride & Prejudice which I should have done before but I have a tendency to procrastinate. As soon as I get everything for school done I will update as much as possible. I guess that's it for now.
If you can read spanish then you would be able to understand the title. If you can't, it just says that I'm going to Colombia. I posted a few updates to keep everyone busy till I get back since I won't be able to update till I return. I may be able to get access to a computer from time to time just to check-up on the site and accept friends on the myspace but that will be all that I'll be able to do while I'm on vacation. I'll be back late on August 8th and I'll try and update the day after I return but I most likely won't since that day I'm going to make a mad dash to the bookstore to get a copy of Breaking Dawn. I can pretty much guarantee that I'll be reading non-stop from the second I get it till I finish the last word. Lucky for everyone I'm a pretty quick reader and it only took me one day to finish Eclipse so it shouldn't take me too long to read Breaking Dawn. And I can also guarantee that after I read it I'll be even more Twilight obsessed and I'll be talking about it for awhile. So you can bet that the Twilight updates will continue for awhile but I promise I will update other things that are not twilight related so that those that are not fellow overly obsessed twilight fans don't feel left out. Anyway, I'll be back soon and there will be more updates then. Meanwhile, enjoy everything I have up while I'm away.
